You'll be glad to hear that Sylvia had a successful operation this morning at the QMC, Nottingham, and is now on the mend after her fall while on holiday in France.
Good news: Sylvia had a comfortable night and is progressing well.
Hopefully she'll be able to receive visitors after the week-end - by which time much of the paraphernalia of drips and drains that are inevitable after major surgery will have done their job!

Silvia rang Joan Hufton this morning to let us all know that she was out of bed and admiring the view from her ward window.

ReplyDeleteSylvia felt well enough to leave her bed four times today and says she's looking forward to seeing visitors tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteShe's in Ward C4 of the West Wing of the QMC; visiting hours are 3.00 to 5.00 PM and 6.00 to 8.00.
Sylvia is still doing fine. She's now walking with a frame around the ward and trying crutches; expects to be in until at least the end of next week.
